The Bear Inn is an 18th century coaching inn situated in the rural village of Nyetimber, est. circa 1750.  Once a popular smugglers haunt, with contraband being landed in nearby Pagham Harbour as far back as the 14th century, this pub/restaurant has been thriving for centuries. Supported by a large local contingent, The Bear Inn enjoys a warm, friendly atmosphere with traditional beams and fireplaces it's 2 bars, lounge and restaurant.

The Bear Inn is a popular place to eat and drink and being within easy walking distance of Church Farm Holiday Village and the sea at Pagham beach, it is an ideal pit-stop for visitors and holiday makers.  This cosy venue is furnished with a TV screen in each of it's bar/lounge areas so you will never miss out on your favourite sport.  Alternatively, you can relax to music next to a roaring open fire or play pool in the bar area; there's always something to keep you entertained. 

The Bear Inn has a private 60 seat restaurant where you can relax and dine on the best home cooked food for miles around.  Our talented and experienced Head Chef Carla, offers an extensive menu along with daily specials.  To complement it's first-class food, The Bear Inn boasts an excellent selection of wines along with a wide choice of traditional real ales, keg beers, draught ciders, chilled lagers and cocktails.

In the summer, The Bear Inn's 2 outdoor areas, to the front and rear of the building, come alive with an array of planted flowers and hanging baskets, lovingly nurtured and cared for by the proprietors.  Visitors can can eat and drink alfresco in the south-facing garden and enjoy the sun all day long.
